Re: Atlanta Hospitals Hiring new RN Graduates

Hello for all allnurses member
I am a graduate BSN-Rn and for lot of reasons I did not practice nursing since I graduate but now I am ready to practice. It is almost three months since I was looking for new grad position. I applyied at deckalb medical health center on march 11, at pedmont hospital on march, at saint joseph's on march and at emory on march. These are the hospital been told they accept new grad twice a year. Why is it so hard for new nurses to get a job and why it is only twice a year. The more you stay they will ask you to take the refresher course and if it is more than three years you have to take re-entry course. Please I dont have to stay where I dont want to work because I saw a lot of nurses have to stay where they do there clinical with out there willingness. That's not good for the nurse or the patient or organization. Any way I saw a lot of Ads about nurse shortage it might be the reason they dont accept the new grad. when I graduate we were 62 most of them find a job in washington, north carolana and florida. What about those who can not move easy like others. I would like to get a job as soon as posible I am tired of peoblems cames after all...
