Maybe moving from the Mid-west to FL

HI,
I am from chicago, lived here my entire life;my husband and I might be relocating towards the southeast side of Florida. If anyone could tell me how it like to live down there that would be great. I have also been looking into nursing schools as well so any information about good programs.
