I've also applied for the spring 2008 class. I've been thinking about my scores and such. I have a 203... and I feel confident I suppose... should I? I'm hoping to get into the night and weekend classes so I can also work but I'm not sure that's such a good idea. I rather focus as much as I can on school especially considering I have my son too Does anyone know about the childcare program at fccj? Another issue is paying the bills and for everything I need for the program. Does anyone know about grants, scholarships, etc? Thanks and Good Luck to all!

slave labor boot camp program is exactly what it is...
Now thats funny. I concur with Rochelle.
It doesn't really pay off to study ahead of the classes. YOu just have to jump in and go. As far as studying, you should stay up on your reading and do the study guides they give you. If you were an A/B student before expect to be a solid B student now. The tests are harder than what you experienced with your pre-reqs. And you'll be tested almost every week in term one.

I know a little about the childcare program (I have 2 kids). I know that it is offered on almost every campus except Deerwood, which is where they are having nights/weekends, and that they close at night (I want to say around 6pm).
As far as scholarships, when you log in to Artemis, the second choice from the bottom, in the right hand column, says, "Scholarship Search." You may want to start there.
Good luck and HTH.
