Re: FCCJ Fall 2008

Hi guys! Guess we're all in this boat together. I'm getting nervous as the letter mailing draws closer. Good luck to everyone! Is anyone else a stay-at-home mom trying to do this nursing school craziness? That's my biggest concern, finding childcare for that schedule.

Re: FCCJ Fall 2008

I am a stay-at-home mom to four. I have one in middle school, one in elementry and 2 that I will be putting in daycare. Oh and my husband is gone and not due home until Christmas, so I am freaking out more about if someone is sick. I have 2 good friends that said they would keep anyone as long as there is no puke involved! lol
Luckily the daycare I am using I know the director well and her son goes to the same elementry school as mine so she will pick her up and take her back to the center.
I am freaking out but first I have to get accepted then I can really start freaking out, right?

Ahh they won't wait til the end of July....We just got a new director of nursing though, so I am not sure how long it will take you guys...but you should have orientation around the last week in July or first week in August...at least that is what I hear...ooh and don't get discouraged if you do not get in....if you are on the border, almost the entire two sections I am with are people who got called after the initial orientation...

DANG, I think that I am the only one that stays on the Southside. Oh well I don't mind driving on that side. I love Panera!!

Re: FCCJ Fall 2008

Hey Navywife - wow, 4 kids! I have a soon-to-be 3 year old and a 1 year old. I'm going to have to look for someone to watch them while I'm in school. My son would not do well in a daycare setting. Hope to see you soon!

Re: FCCJ Fall 2008

Orientation is one day...mine started at 8 and I was gone by 3, with an hour lunch in there somewhere...after lunch it is mainly the lottery...I would suggest taking your list of sections (you get it before lunch break) and going to the library (D building 3rd floor) and looking up your prospective teachers...
