What are some of the working restrictions for A.S students?

At NOVA they have a really good PA program, that you can get your master's degree in 27 months! it's a full time program. But as you heard, nova is a great school!!
IDK anything about the PA program at MDC. But I think that they do have a program... but you end up with an AS.
As an RN with an AS we are basically bedside nurses- that's it. to be in management, education, involved in any new projects like information technology- you have to have your BSN.
We can move on up, we can get certified in a specialty- my specialty would be a CPN (certified pediatric nurse) because I work with children.
we can take classes offered by the hospital and move up a level- I am level one because I just started- but by next year I will be a level 2 which is $0.5 per hour- then after that I can get trained to be charge nurse - and I think that is a dollar per hour more- not sure- but I don't want to be charge nurse to nurses that have been there like 10 years.
Don't get me wrong- we could do & start anything with an AS aslong as we are hired to the unit.
there are OR nurses that just have their assosiate's degree-
there are PICU nurses- ER nurses- Cardiac intensive care- oncology RN's.... all with their associates degree without any experience- just our RN license...... as long as they are willing to train and you have that RN license, you can work there and learn.
but with an AS we are very limited- you definitely need a BSN to move up onto bigger and better things. That is what I want to do!
I Love online classes- I took 1 at NOVA when I was there starting the BSN program that I never finished (so embarrassed about not finishing!)
but anyways- look into the NOVA program for PA
what I want to do eventually is be an ARNP- not soon but in a few years- so I will do my BSN at FIU and hopefully my ARNP program there too.
