Question ANY Independent Home Health Providers?????

I live in Ohio, I am an LPN ( With IV )nurse with 6 years experience. I am Medicaid certified to work as a home health nurse for long term and skilled cases. I do adults and Peds.

Is there such a program in Florida? I really hate living here! We get that white stuff that is cooooold..about 4 or 5 months a year..

I ask about being an IP nurse because here, I bypass all the rip off pool agencies and make, on average, $27+ an hr. Nice pay, low hours and Im my own boss. I pulled in over $50 grand this year. I get my check from the state and....are you ready....WEEKLY! I normally make about $1200 a week but I have brought home WEEKLY checks for over $2200.

IP pays breaks down to $55 for the first hr and $5.70 every 15 minutes. $22.80 an hr + your $55 1st hr.. This is what all the POOL AGENCIES are skimming from you.. RN pay is the same

4hr=$124.30....8hr=$214.60....12hr=$305.80

I want to move to florida and start doing this if it's an option in the sunshine state...any info please write me A.S.A.P...Brenda

I haven't been fortunate enough to getthe information on being able to do this,but mother of my home care patient told me that a former nurse of theirs is doing it now. I think they said she had to contact Medicaid directly

I have never looked at the possibility of practicing home health nursing independently, but this state is steeped in bureaucratic red tape, so make sure you have all the bases covered before attempting it.

The pay sounds comparable here though.
