New grad LPN moving to Dover

Hello! I will be moving to Dover in June, fresh after completing an LPN prog. Where would be a great place(s) to start my job search? I am unfamiliar with the area, I'm moving there to be closer to family with my 3 children , so I can move on to finish school in order to obtain my RN. Thanks for your help in advance!!

Re: New grad LPN moving to Dover

well it depends on your location in de, although it is not hard to commute, de is quite small. however, the gas prices might slap you ok try christiana hospital, bayhealth (kent and milford), beebe, nanticoke. that's all i can think of now. if u have a de license you can practice in md also.....they are compact states. so you can also get a job at union hospital, chester river, pennisula regional....etc. it's also best to check online. hope u find something!

If you have an LPN license, you will have difficulty finding employment in any Delaware hospital. Many of the LTC and Rehab facilities hire LPNs and pay pretty well (for Delaware). Try to sites like monster, hotjobs and careerbuilder to find these jobs.

Re: New grad LPN moving to Dover

I just graduated from a NJ LPN program too and I plan to work at Green Valley Pavillion 3rd shift is $23 an hour. They are in Smyrna. After I pass my boards that is. Middletown or Broad Meadow wont hire new grads, snobs : )
