I have an interview next week at Yale New Haven Hospital. Does anybody have any opinions on whether it is a good place to work? Also, if anybody is from the area, is there a train stop nearby? I would be commuting from RI, and might want to use the train some days alternating with driving.
Thanks in advance!!!

Re: Yale New Haven

Also, if the minimum starting wage is 26.05 /hr, how much do you think someone with 5 yrs experience would make?

Re: Yale New Haven

I don't know how helpful this is, since it's been ~15 years since I was there, but I worked prn there while I was in grad school. I was v. happy with them as an employer, and everyone I worked with also seemed to be happy about working there (more so than most of the places I've worked over the years.)

I seem to recall that the train station is farther from the hospital than I would want to walk, but there is a local bus that would take you back and forth.

Re: Yale New Haven

So, by now you should know if you start there. I've been at YNHH almost a year, and find it a good institution to work for, better than others I've been to. According to a website on salaries on the east coast, that area is also one of the best paid ones too. Gathering from nurses that left last summer, all took pay cuts going even into city hospitals in NYC of all places.
