St. Vincent's College acceptances?

Hi,

Just was wondering if anyone has been accepted to St. Vincent's College in recent weeks? I know there are tons of applicants now and would be curious to hear of anyone who will be starting at St. Vincent's either in Jan. or Fall 08'.

Re: St. Vincent's College acceptances?

I currently have a 4.0 with pre-req's I'll be transferring in such as:

Human Biology 115
General Psychology 111
Intermediate Algebra 137
English 101
Ethics
Introduction to Philosophy

I am currently taking Chem 111

I was informed that the first round of acceptances for anyone who submitted a complete application as of this week will know of the Admission decision within 7 days or so. I can't wait to hear from the College!!
Wishing everyone applying all the best!

How hard is it to get into St. Vincents and what do they require for their pre req's or can you take everything you need there?

Re: St. Vincent's College acceptances?

It was not hard for me to get accepted. I transfered about 15 credits, English, math, language, history and ethics. While enrolling at St vincent's, I took Sociology Clep and the religion Dantes, which I passed. If you are planning to apply, make sure you take the same classes that I transfered in as well as chemistry and biology at a local community college. You can save tons of money!!!

Do not take the other science courses, like A&P 1&2 and Microbiology anywhere else. St Vincents requires that you take an exam if they are over 5 years. The exam is so challenging, I wonder if the instructors would pass if they had to take it.
I am now taking nursing 231, 4th semester evening. Two more semesters to go.

If I can assist you with anything, please do not hesitate to send me a pm.
Good luck!

Re: St. Vincent's College acceptances?

I think I am going to take some general ed classes at Gateway and see if I can transfer them to St. Vincent's. This seems to be the advise I have been seeing on all the boards, to attend a cc then apply to the nursing program of choice. Thanks for all the great advice. This a great message board and a great way to get information. What types of general ed classes did you take. What type of Math, English, etc.
