Re: Question about the NET

It is my first day on this site. I have an interest in attending a LPN school, but do not know what direction to go. Tech. schools are so much cheaper! I heard there is a waiting list and there is only one session at a time. Is Porter and Chester is very expensive? That would be the school I would focus on going to. Please tell me any info. you can about the school. I wonder if I could study and test in time for the Oct. class. I wish I could work part-time too.Thank you for any help.

Hey there taigee, ,
I chose to go to Porter and Chester because I wanted to start school as soon as possible. I did try for kaynor tech. but did not get in. It does cost much less than these private institutes. It's costing me about 30,000. I know that is alot of money, but like I said before I wanted to start now. I just couldn't wait for next August to start.
Now about the LPN program at Porter and Chester. The program is new at this school. 12 out of the 20 students graduated yesterday. I just started the program on Monday and love it. I know it's early in the program to say this but I absolutely love my instructors. They are there to make sure you pass and if you are having difficulties understanding the subject, they will go over it with you untill you understand it. They are a bit strict but also very funny. I know for a fact that I will accomplish my goals because I have them teaching me.
I was supposed to start in October but lucky for me they squeezed two more students in for the April program. Maybe you should give the school a call and get more info. if your still interested in attending their school.
Good luck to you in whatever you choose
Ella

Re: Question about the NET

I would be so happy to start at P & C, but I don't think financial aide amounts to much. I would have to afford day care and other bills! I did get the basic outline info. If I went to talk with them, I would want to sign up. That's how I felt when I checked out med. assisting. It is inspiring to see their set-up. I didn't feel that way about Stone. I didn't think they had a L.P.N. program then or I would have looked into that . Once again it is the cost factor.
Keep me informed on your schooling. It may come down to going there if I don't get in to Kaynor. Congratulations to you and for getting in earlier than you expected!!!!
Thanks for your help. I am so happy I came upon this site.

Has anyone gone thru the state LPN program? I just wanted input about it because I will be focusing my efforts on being excepted to the one at Kaynor. The web site doesn't give much info. All help appreciated!
