Hi,
I went to NETI in New Britian, and yes, some nights I studied for 5 hours, but it was not every night. I think the program was good, and at the time I didn't feel like waiting over a year to get into the state schools. They have a good program with good NCLEX rates and I'm glad I went there.

Check it out soon because you have to take entrance exams. Good luck.

Thanks again for the information.
Depending on your career goals and where you want to work....I would check into job possibilities. I am in Connecticut and we have been an all RN hospital for years. If your goal is to work IN A HOSPITAL, you better check with the individual CT hospitals and see if they hire LPN's (in positions other than tech positions). Good luck.

Ok. If you're moving to New Britain, there is NETI, but there are also the state programs which cost alot less. I just graduated from E.C. Goodwin Tech, in New Britain this past June. It was hard, but I did it. I also am a single mother and worked part-time throughout the program. E.C.'s program is a full time day program where you go to school/clinical 36 hrs a week, but the state also offers a part time night program at Vinyl Tech in Middletown which isn't that far from New Britain. My teachers were tough, but my school is well known for turning out LPN students who are very well trained. More than 80% of students graduating from E.C. pass their boards. The stress is on "more than 80%". :hatparty: You can call E.C. at 860-827-7736 ext.326. This is the number for Director Ted Moskowitz. He can give you info on the entry test and interview process. It's a great program. Once you are accepted you can apply to which school you would like to attend. You may even be able to choose before that, but I'm not sure as it's been a long time since I went through the process. The part time program that is closest is at Vinyl Tech. The cost went up for the next class to I think $5,000 for the entire 18 months, but it's still less than the other programs that cost around $20,000. You can only get financial aid for those programs for up to around $5,000. The rest you have to come up with on your own or take out student loans. I hope you can check out the state programs. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's hard work, but soooo worth it.

New England Tech in New Britain offers an LPN program. Good luck to you.
