Wow, right into corrections! I'm interested in the field, so I guess I'll keep a look out for your posts in the corrections forums

I'm in orientation with a few UCONN grads now. Good luck!

Hi Christine,
Good luck in your search. I'm not sure what to tell you about liscensure except if you go to CT.gov and click on Liscensure you should be able to get some info about it. I work in Putnam in a hosptial based homecare agency. Good place to work. Would recommend you look at area hospitals DKH, Backus, Windham--I heard Backus is having a big job fair for nurses

Hi everyone,

I've been lurking on this website for quite some time now...
I'm a med-surg nurse in Hartford County, in a small town hospital.

Re: Conn Nurses Meet N Greet

Hi,
I am currently at Three Rivers Community College in Uncasville, working on my pre-requisites to apply to the RN program. (which I have heard for years is a great program) I have just turned 50 am and thinking that I want to have a real good idea of where I want to be when I am done - on a 5 year plan, as I am working full time. I have always thought labor and delivery would be cool. Anyone have feedback on that or other areas of nursing that you love?

If you r working in the medical field now, see if you can float to different units and get a feel. If not, I would wait and see how you find the different areas of clinical. Your thinking will change once you are doing hands on stuff in school. Good luck and enjoy!
