University Hospital Denver?

Hi,
I will be relocating to Denver soon and I am wondering how University Hospital in Denver is to work at. Specifically the NICU, but I am also looking for general opinions on the hospital. I currently work for a university hospital in another state and like that environment.
Thanks in advance!

Re: University Hospital Denver?

i do not know much about UCH except that it is renowned, but i've also heard that they start new grads at around 20. so if you're not a new grad maybe you can extrapolate that.

Re: University Hospital Denver?

If you like teaching hospitals it's a good place to go. I was in the ER and can't say to much about any other area specificly. Although people complain, I though the pay was decent, the work environment generaly good, and all in all, I'm sorry I left there. (I followed wife to Atlanta). I'd go back in a heart beat.

I'm Curious,

What is the staffing ratio for RN's in the ER there?

Hi there,
I have worked at UCH for 7 years and even with the recent stress of moving to a new and improved building, I love it. I have worked on pulmonary, tele, and transplant. I don't know much about the NICU but I have a friend that went there a couple years ago and she likes it. Another thing is I see a lot is nurses that leave and come back within a year. Good luck.
