is there anyone out there attending or graduated from dson who can tell me about the sallie mae loan...i read the pamphlet but i don't know exactly where to start, how do i apply? how soon should i apply? did you get approved? the whole tuition covered or just some? is it really as hard as they say to get approved? In order for me to attend dson i need at least some of the tuition to be covered by the sallie mae loan, and i am pretty nervous! Going to dson would be my dream come true, I just hope that is can happen! any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

You apply online, just google sallie mae and you'll get the website. It all depends on your credit rating, on one application is the same. The only people that can answer your questions are sallie mae, so give'em a call and they will walk you through it.

ya I understand that it depends on your credit score, but from what I hear, you need "perfect" credit and it is almost impossible to get...i was wondering if someone who got the sallie mae loan could give me a little hope...please!

I don't get the loan but I can tell you what the admin. assist. at DSN told me........she said you need good credit AND you must be a home owner in order to qualify. I don't own a home so that pretty much cancelled me out. If you want more answers, I would suggest starting a whole new topic on the subject. You will probably get more replies. )

I was just approved for the total tuition of school with a co-signer ($36k). I will tell you that my co-signer has near perfect credit and does own his own home. If you are able to find someone like this you should have no problem being approved. I tried to apply on my own (I have really good credit too) and was denied b/c I do not have enough "collateral" since I am 25 and do not own a home. Hope this helps.
