RT Programs in Denver/Boulder Area?

Hi All,

I'm considering a RT program in the Denver/Boulder area and was hoping there might be a standout.

Anyone have experience with PMI or others?

TIA

Re: RT Programs in Denver/Boulder Area?

Yes, I now A LOT about the PMI program because I was IN the program!

Let me beginning with telling you that they have had ALOT of programs & have done a great deal to cover them up! They lost almost all there teachers & their program director in the last few months & to top it off they dont even no where their school is going to be in a few months! I have heard they might move across the street or in Arvada but no one knows....I know a few students still there.

The program is very rushed(even compared to others programs in the area) the building & program is poorly thrown together.

I really thought it was "normal" untill I checked out Concorde & was in SHOCK with the difference! At Concorde it a GREAT school & seem to really have it together. Also it is about the same length.

I can tell you TONS of horror stories about PMI if you want to PM me....I dont think a lot of them are right to just post in here.

At Concorde they were willing to show me the school & I even was able to talk to the program director before entering the program in great detail....at PMI they dont even like to give you a tour because you will see how shifty it really is! I would URGE to atleast look at Concorde if you are looking at a trade type of school.

There is also Pickens tech & several community colleges that you can get your degree for a 1/4 of a trade school & not have to sell off your 1st born=)

I decided to go to the Nursing Program at Concorde

That's interesting... I emailed them from their site and the response claimed that the best way to learn about the school was to visit the campus.

I was actually hoping to find a community college program so I'll keep moving in that direction but will check out Concorde as well.

Again, thanks for the quality info!

Re: RT Programs in Denver/Boulder Area?

I would defintly take a look if you want to get started soon! I know they have a RT class starting on December 11 & every few months after that.

PMI will be willing to give you a "tour" but you quickly realize it is pretty sad! I was in some what shock when I saw the whole school! I have heard that there new building will be nicer but I will be honest & say if they had good teachers I wouldnt care about the equipment/building!

I would take a tour of Concorde & weigh your different options
