HI, I just graduated at the end of June, barley got my official transcrips from my school last Thursday. I sent all my application paperwork in to the Colorado board of nursing and am now curious as to how long the application process is, and more importantly how long does it take to get a testing date??? My school told us nothing about what to expect..........if anyone can shed some light I would appriciate it......
I just mailed my application and transcripts today for LPN licensure by examination. My understanding is that it takes about 10 days or so for it to be processed. At that point, we can schedule to take the NCLEX-PN.
On the Board of Nursing site, they do have FAQ section:
Looks like the first question will help....we will be able to check our application status online. On the application checklist it does say to wait 10 days before you check so that you can ensure it's in the system. My school told us it would be good to go ahead and register on the Pearson site for NCLEX so that once our license application goes through we can schedule the test.
Today, while I was filling out my paperwork I had to call the Board of Nursing with a question and someone answered the phone right away and helped me with what I needed....so, I'm sure you could call with any questions.
Hope this helps a little.
In the meantime, take practice tests, refresh youself with lab values, and think positive NCLEX thoughts!!
Good luck on the test!!
OH MY I JUST SCHEDULED ON LINE WITH PEARSON VUE AND WILL TAKE THE TEST ON WEDNESDAY!!! Im so happy ..........congrats on your nclex. Thanks for the reply. (so how hard was it???)
