Moving to Boulder/Denver Area, New grad in 08

I am moving to CO in the summer of 08 to follow my girlfriend who came to Co for Phd program in Co University. I will be graduating in May of 08 with my BSN degree. Can any one tell me names of hospitals that take on new grads and or have a graduated nurse program that are good to new nurses? I will be living in the boulder area if that makes a difference since I really don't know the traffic issue with Boulder and Denver. Also when do hospitals typically open up their programs for new nurses to apply?

Sorry to ask this but I am from Mo and have no clue where to start.

Thanks

Re: Moving to Boulder/Denver Area, New grad in 08

Most hospitals in the Denver area only hire 'new grads' 1 or2x per year but mostly in May. However, I know some places start the process earlier in the spring. Also, Denver has alot of nursing schools so to get hired as such is somewhat competitive.

I would contact the nurse recruiters of some different hospitals (they are posted on their websites) for more info.

I suggest you check out Lutheran hosp in Wheat Ridge. It's not to far from Boulder and is a super hospital.

Good luck to you!
