I haven't been to Colorado Spgs in a very long time. I am wondering what downtown is like nowadays. Is it a good area to raise kids? We really want to live in a more urban environment where we can walk as much as possible. Any information would be great. Thanks.
Colorado Springs is a good place to raise kids, don't think I would want to live too close to downtown, though. There is a forum called city-data.com that has a lot of information and posts on Colorado Springs (and every other major city in the USA) that you should check out.
Downtown is great, if you can afford housing. I suggest looking at the area up north called, Stetson Hills. It's a fairly new development with LOTS of shopping/new stuff.
