Concorde Career College for RN?

I am currently enrolled at Concorde in Texas for LVN. There are rumors that they are looking to start an RN program here in Texas as well. I checked their website and Aurora, CO is the only location so far that has the ADN and LVN-RN bridge programs. Just wondering if anyone here knows about it, like what if any prereq's do you have to have, how long is it, is it full time, cost, etc. Thanks alot,
Alice

Re: Concorde Career College for RN?

Hi, I'm actually going to Concorde today to speak with a rep about their nursing programs. They told me a little bit on the phone. The RN program is 60 weeks and the hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. M-F. The cost is 36K but it includes everything and there are no pre-reqs. I'm more interested in the LPN program right now because I would like to see my family once in a while as well as go to school. I can let you know what they say when I get back from my meeting. The wait lists for nursing schools here in Denver are ridiculous; some of the public schools have a 3-5 year wait just to get in! I will probably just get a loan and go to Concorde so I can get done sooner and get a job.

Don't do Concorde in Denver for RN!!! I just finished the LPN program. EVERY upper management person quit the past two weeks including the director of nursing!! everything has gone to pot and they don"t have enough instructors! Check Denver School of Nursing...

I went to the one in Arlington and they told the same lie in 1992. My suggestion would be to go to TCC (of course your credits won't transfer from Concorde) but the instruction there is so much more detailed and you will learn more and I believe it cost less.

When I graduated in 05, they were talking about how in the next few months there would be a bridge prog in Arlington...Glad to see they at least stick with some things. Really??? Since 1992 they've been promising a program? Wow!
