Washington Hospital Fremont pay?

by mslema

Does anyone know how much Washington Hospital in Fremont pays New Grad RNs or a Staff Nurse I? I heard that they pay their nurses really well. One experienced per diem nurse said she gets about $85/hr or something base (day shift, I believe). I also heard of a nurse getting like $90 something. I was shocked! I'm just curious as to how they can pay their nurses so much. Is this hospital a good place to work? Thanks.

I live near this hospital, and know people that work there, and if you'll pardon the cliche, "I wouldn't be caught dead there."

From the street it looks practically abandoned, inside it looks like a really old military hospital. It's staffed with traveler's and per diem players. It has a very poor reputation in the community, and it's well deserved.

I know a LVN that worked there about 3 years ago and he told me he made $34 an hour (back then) so I can only imagine how much the RNs make. He also told me the workload there was ridiculous and he quit.

I know this thread is a couple months old but just wondering if the OP or others are working there now?
