Question - Thinking of moving from NY to California

Hello everyone,

So this is my question('s), This is my last year as a nursing student in an associate program in NY. I have been thinking of california as a place to work.
I have never been to california, but i am interested. 1) Can anyone tell me what are the top hospitals in California to work for? 2) What is the salary range for new grads? 3)Any perks you would like to share? and lastly what are some areas that you would recommend living..

California is pretty huge, and depending the area you will get very different answers. Are you looking at the northern or southern region? Two very different places.

Thanks

Re: Thinking of moving from NY to California

Most of the hospitals have already started the New Grad Programs. Most of the hospitals have already hired inhouse new grads, and a lot have been turned away. It's going to be hard to find a job, but there are places where you can find a job. I would go to careerbuilder.com and check out the postings for nursing graduates to see the areas that are not impacted with new grads and little openings. Good Luck
