Stanford ICU

Hi. I am considering accepting a position at Stanford's neuro/trauma ICU. As a travel nurse, this will be my 1st assignment. I do have some friends who have been to this ICU & love it...but I want some more feedback! Has anyone worked here? What about the area do you like/not like?

Re: Stanford ICU

I work at Stanford but not in the ICU. The area is GREAT- nice weather, pretty, and lots to do. We recently went to EPIC, a new computer program, about 4 weeks ago. It has been a tough transition, if you have worked with it, no problem- if you are new to computer charting, this is a tough program- you might want to wait a few months until the dust settles and the staff is more use of the program. Hope this helps.
