i am a professional train nurse, i live and work in nigeria,i have experience of about 25 five years in nursing ,but i have never been engage in this kind of situation
how would expect a nursing to survival when she has not been paid for six months... please i need some advice, becouse i hope to live this country some day

You are a nurse and live and work in Nigeria? You have not been paid for six (6) months?

You hope to "live" there someday? Or, leave there someday?

Well I am not sure what the laws are in Nigeria. I am assumeing you mean to leave there someday and come to america. Be warned that your vast nursing experience and license does not gaurantee that you will be allowed to work as a nurse here. I know of doctors from other countries who had to settle for taking the RN exam because their MD license did not carry over. I also know that many RN's in other countries end up having to work as LVN/LPN's because the training and education is different. In any case there must be other nursing positions open to you that you can go to. Why stay where you are not paid? you aren't losing you will be gaining. Also does your government have a labor support advocacy group? You might have to report your employer to these groups. You have to eat and support your family. That takes money. You have not been paid for 6 months? It is doubtful you will be paid at all. Good Luck in your future.

No one can settle for taking the RN exam, it requires that they attended and graduated from an approved nursing school, even if they were a physician in their country. There is absolutely no way to challenge the RN exam for any state.

And many do not work as LPNs here either if they trained as an RN in their country. 70% of all foreign nurses come from the Philippines and they all have to have a BSN to get a visa to work in the US. And most of them do work as RNs in this country if they went to school for same.
