'Paid' CNA Training Classes in San Diego

Hi.
I am thinking about registering for the CNA course at Maric for this January 11th-March 7th and I don't remember what days classes are in session and times, I think that I've heard that CNA courses can cost over 2,000 dollars.
Does anyone/-body know of ANY hospitals, healthcare, long-term care facilities that offer paid onsite training for CNAs?
I am looking for a certificate and to get myself used to the healthcare/hospital environment and work my way through a medical assistant program and Maric's ridiculously enough, so it sounds like, not regionally accreditted (Did I spell that right/correctly?).
I am currently applying for a position but if anyone knows of any type of CNA training i could do rather than paying for this course, I would love your input or advice...

A C.N.A. class shouldnt cost that much. I took a C.N.A. class and it cost less than 150 dollars. You should try looking at one of the community colleges in your area or one of the rop schools where u live. If you attend an rop school the only thing u pay for is your book and your physicals, and you are there for the same amount of time you would be at Maric.

I did a CNA program through a Regional Occupational Program (ROP) in Orange County. I spent close to $300 on immunizations, uniforms, fingerprint/background checks, books, tests, etc.

Here is the site for San Diego:
http://www.quikreg.com/sites/sdrop/catalog/

On the left hand side, select Health Sci/Med Technology to direct you the listings. It's under Nurse Assistant.

I don't know of any hospitals that pay, but I would NOT pay 2000 for a cna certificate. Community colleges in California only charge 20.00 a credit, you can easily get into these and be done in one semester.

good luck to you

Southwestern College (in Chula Vista) also offers the program.

Yeah, I wouldn't either. Yeah, but I think that I heard that Grossmont has a wait-ing list!

So much for luck

I live in North County, Southwestern College (in Chula Vista)'s too far away, even if they offer a/the program.

MiraCosta College has a program. They are in Oceanside and Cardiff. I would NOT go through Maric if I were you.

Oh really? Yeah, I know where they are, but I didn't know that they had a/the program. Yeah, I don't want to go through Maric myself.
