Try CareerStaff Unlimited. 800-814-2036. I understand they place Psych Nurses at Coalinga State Hospital.

Ty. I know a staffing person in that area. I got an email from her not too long ago, she was looking for correctional facility RNs, among other positions.

If you've an interest, PM me with your email address and I'll forward on the info to her.

Re: Moving To Fresno Area

Hi. I noticed that you had this topic discussion last Nov 2006 so i assumed you are already currently working in Fresno, CA. Am I right? If yes, I hope you can share some ideas what to expect with regard to working, lifestyle and wage condition in the place. I will be moving soon there and it will be a good thing to know some things..Thanks.

Re: Moving To Fresno Area

You might want to check out Community Behavioral Health Center. They are one of the only inpatient psych facilities in Fresno. I am an RN and have been per diem there for a short time. PM if you want to for more info..

Hope that helps..

Re: Moving To Fresno Area

Valley Healthcare Systems(VHCS?) has contract work-both short and long term placements for LVNs throughout California. There are many openings in psych and corrections.
