Hey!

Has anyone had any experience applying to Loma Lindas nursing program. Is it very competitive? Anyone been accepted or rejected? Any information would help, thanks!

Re: Loma Linda anyone?

I have no experience with the LLUMC School of Nursing, but here are two links to previous threads asking about it:

http://allnurses.com/forums/f8/need-...ck-235422.html

http://allnurses.com/forums/f137/opi...da-168372.html

Or, you could do a search on allnurses for "Loma Linda," which is how I got these two threads. There may be more!

Good luck!

I'm just starting my senior year. What do you want to know about it?

Hey awhisler- I have a quick question for you since you go to LLU. I heard they have an ADN-MSN program, but I did not see it on the website? Is that true? I saw the ADN-BSN one only. Also, im not sure if you know the answer to this or not, but are you allowed to apply to their ADN-BSN program in your senior year of your ADN program? Just thought I would ask since I finally found someone who goes there!!!

Re: Loma Linda anyone?

I have no idea!! A lot of help I am. I went into the traditional BSN route. I'm al just answering this as a hunch but I don't see a reason why they wouldn't let you apply when you are nearing your ADN grad date. WHen I first started there were many people that applied, got in, and even started the program without even finishing the required prereqs (namely elective type courses).

The front office is very helpful anf they are eager to answer many of your questions.

I know this wasn't as helpful as you might have wanted but here's the number. It takes about 2 minutes to get all the info you need out of them. (909) 558-4360

Also, LLU hospitals helps pay for ADN nurses to get their BNS. I think the cap is 16K over 3 years.. somehting like that. The pay is the worst in the area (one reason why I will work elsewhere). However, the training is top-notch... Very hands-on, and cutting edge. Great NICU, PEDS, and since this is the only level 1 trauma in the area (including San Bernardino-the largest county in the U.S.) the ER/trauma is great but fast paced. Also, if you are interested, the school has many opportunity for medical mission trips (including some that take the place of clinical hours).
