Re: How many Programs did you apply to??

I applied to two programs 1 ASN program at a community college that used a lotto system, and 1 BSN program at the state college that I am attending now that selected their students by merit; I got in my first try. I had an over-all GPA of 3.6 and a pre-req GPA of 3.8

Re: How many Programs did you apply to??

Hi medicalnerd,

I applied to SCC, ARC, and Sierra for fall 2008. I am just curious as to what school you got the acceptance letter from. I have only received a denial letter from SCC and have not heard from the other two schools.
Thanks!!

I know medicalnerd got into ARC. I also got my rejection letter from SCC.... I am sure our other letters will be coming soon.

Re: How many Programs did you apply to??

I was wondering if you can apply to both ADN and BSN at the same time? Or do you have to apply to either ADN or BSN at a time??

I applied to three ADN programs and one BSN program. I was accepted to the BSN program at Sac State.

Re: How many Programs did you apply to??

I applied to 3 ADN programs....SCC, Sierra and ARC. I got accepted into Sierra on my first try. I was originally rejected but received a call on 5/20 that someone had dropped out and I was next on the waitlist.

My overall GPA is 4.0.....I was told by my counselor at Sierra that grades do factor into it but obviously not for the first round pick. Maybe it's done by lottery and then the waitlist is by grades....I don't know.

Good luck to everyone!!!

I was curious how the selection process worked for Sierra ( I have a 4.0 overall as well) because I got in on my first try. I asked the admin. assistant when I turned in my paper work on Tuesday and she said everything is a lottery system. We were just lucky to be at the top of the list. You were probably #31 on the list!!
