Re: Hi San Diego!

I worked at scripps chula vista and hated it. It wouldnt be so bad if you spoke fluent spanish. I work for USCD and I love it. I keep extending my contract. I never worked for a teaching facility but I love
it. The only downfall is you may be asked to float to there other hospital in LaJolla

Re: Hi San Diego!

What's wrong with Thornton and La Jolla if you work for UCSD med center?
Also do they give you raises at UCSD? Anything I should mind? Thank you from the bottom of my heart of your input. Thanks

Re: Hi San Diego!

I actually just took a permanent position here at UCSD hillcrest. I didnt like Thornton becuase of multiple reasons. No blood drawer, no transport aid. A lot of patients are "up scale" and want "up scale" treatment when you dont have the help. It makes the staff more uptight too. I was just miserable there. Just my personal opinion. And we just got a 6% raise with our new union contract. They use a pay scale that goes by years of experience. Hope that helps!!

Re: Hi San Diego!

Congratulations with your new job in UCSD. Do they have Telephonic Case Management Positions in UCSD? Where is the HR for UCSD? Thank you!

i'm a student, but right now i work at sharp (sharp community medical group, actually) with case managers that handle pts over the phone. i really love working here, so if that's what you're looking for, i'd recommend it!
