Hi, anyone else endorsing to CA from another state, I am supposed to start work in 2 weeks and I am waiting for my state to send my verification to the CA BON. So I am in limbo, I am hoping to go to Sacramento to get my temp license on the same day however the board has not been answering therir phones all week, it says they are too busy...anyone got their license on teh same day??? or how quick did you receive it after application for endorsement...i have been fingerprinted and everything.....thanks

I wud like to know how long it takes since I plan to take the exam from a different state then endorse it to CA thereafter.

If the CA BRN has verification of your license or can get it from Nursys.com, then you can get the tempoary license issued to you on that day that you show up to the BRN office in Sacramento.

You are probably done and working now, but that is what I did. I needed to get hired ASAP so I contacted the manager directly (instead of HR) and got the ball rolling from there, then I got all the paperwork needed, birth cert., social sec card, did Nurssys on -line ($30), went to the local county office and got finger printed with verification copy ($77), drove several hours to Sacramento to get temp license in person. that was the quickest way to do it. They NEVER could answer the phone for me, always busy!!
