I know in some circles this university has a less than stellar repuation...but does anyone know about their nursing program? Is the quality of the program good? Do graduats of the program have a certian stereotype associated with them as they look for jobs or does it not matter at all? I live in Monticello and UAM is my first choice but UPAB is close by too. I was just wondering.

You can go to arbsn.org and look at NCLEX pass rates. From 2003 to 2007, the pass rates were: 33.3%, 25.0%, 20.0%, 88.2%, and 88.9%. The website also gives you the number of students that actually tested. For instance, in 2005 the pass rate was only 20%; 5 people took the exam, and 4 of those failed. Any way you look at it, it looks bad. I wonder why there were only 5 people that sat that year, you know?
