New UALR Students?

Hi everyone!

I am starting the UALR nursing program in the fall of '06. Just wondered if there were any more of us out there?

Also, would like to hear from senior students and recent grads. My friends and I are excited and nervous all at the same time! Any advice, tips, words of encouragement you could offer would mean a lot to me, and many others as well!

I just graduated from UALR on May 13th. It is a good program, but be prepared, it is intense.

The only tips I can give are to study hard, NEVER miss a class, and do lots of NCLEX review questions (yes, these are very helpful, even for first semester, as the tests are in NCLEX format).

Keep a low profile, don't complain (even when you think things may be a little unfair), and take adjunct faculty for clinicals!!

Good luck and best wishes to you!

I also was accpted for the fall of 06! I am soooo excited. I think. A little worried as well. Which campus are you going to be taking classes on? I decided to go to St. Vincents for the classes cause i thought it might be easier parking. Im waiting to hear about the scholarship i applied for i wonder how many students are awarded these each year.

Re: New UALR Students?

Adjunct is clinical instructors who work at the hospital usually and are doing the clinicals partime. The adjunct faculty you will not see teaching any classes only clinicals usually.

Re: New UALR Students?

I don't know too much about her she is fairly new. I think she just joined the faculty last year and I think she may be a professor and not adjunct.
