Considering a move to Arkansas

Me and my fiance are considering moving to Arkansas, where he grew up. He's currently in the police academy here and will be graduating in about a month, so he will be qualified to get hired as a police officer.

I am a new RN grad, this past December, and currently work in the maternal/child health departments in the local hospital, which includes L&D, NICU, Peds and postpartum.

Oh, we live in Central California. The starting pay as a new grad for me was $34 an hour.

We are looking around the Little Rock/Russellville/Malvern areas of AR, so any input as to starting wages for an RN with less than 1 year experience would be so helpful!!!! Not many hospital web sites post wage ranges, so I really have no idea!

Thanks so much!

Re: Considering a move to Arkansas

Generally, the new RN grad pay in AR is going to be $20+ (some areas it will be less, some areas it will be a little more) This does not take into account shift differential or specialty pays, such as weekend option or other options. Keep in mind the cost of living in AR is much less than CA, so dont' let the pay scare you off.
