For any of you who have your CNA where did you go to school for it?

Emmanuel School of nursing, 43rd Ave and Northern. three weeks total, two weeks of class and one week at Sierra Winds in Peoria, around Bell and 87th Ave.

RSAA in mesa, Country Club and Brown they offer a week day, evening, and weekend class. The evening is what I did and the instructor was wonderful!

There program was $850 very well worth it! Just did boards today WOOOHOOO. I really like the evening instructor Linda! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Wow wish I had known about this before I enrolled in the one I am going to. 8 weeks of classroom 8 weeks of clinical. I had to recert because I let my Cert expire in 2000 and I only went for 3 weeks. Maybe this is because of the one day a week. Who knows but 8 hours every Sat sucks!

I just signed up for RSAA today - I'm so excited to get started! (24 Days April 21st) I am doing the evening class (M-Thurs 5-10). The total tution is 850 - the state test is 85 and the only thing separate (aside from some scrub pants) - but they do the test AT the school so it's not like you'll be driving all over town. Tests are also on weekends (Saturday OR Sunday Morning or afternoon) and you have a set date depending on when you go in for the program. I talk to Jim whenever I call and he is VERY heplful and gives you all the information you need - in what has to be the most patient manner because I'm sure he answers the same questions day in and day out all day long. Oh and there are 3 payment plans - either the 1/2 and 1/2 - 425 to register and 425 later, or they use the same system the community colleges use - ecashier. That one you only have to pay 205 up front and the rest is broken down into 3 or 6 monthly payments.

I'm SO SO SO excited! I feel like this is the first step towards a long path but it will be so worth it in the end. I can't stand my current job any longer (technical support) so getting my CNA will be a help in getting me out of here - although I'll have to work a lot more to stay afloat.
