Re: Where to get CNA??

I am going because I want out of my job as sooooooon as possible, and getting my CNA gets me going quickest - I think though I'll try going for the LPN Fast Track at Gateway in the Spring next year, and then work as an LPN until I can get through the rest of getting through the RN program. Because I don't know how long I'll have to wait to get through the RN program so I don't see that getting the LPN hurts.

I totally understand. I work in medical insurance and UGH! is all I can say. I am looking at Gateway as an LPN option also. I got into the MSC LPN program but they are pricey and I wanted to avoid any loans as long as I can. They didn't seem to know if they were offereing it in the spring though which makes it a bit harder to plan for it but I can always contine to work on my pre-req's.

Re: Where to get CNA??

I appreciate everyone sharing their experience. I recently signed up for the RSAA daytime May 5th class. If there is anyone who will be taking this same class, please PM me. I am really looking forward to it and cannot wait to begin my first step towards my nursing career!

Congratulations to you as well!! I noticed in an earlier thread you were asking if we were earning our CNA certification maybe for the LPN program. For me, I am planning on applying to the LPN program at Gateway and probably work as a CNA in the meantime. Are you planning on applying to the LPN program as well?
