Re: What do you do right now?

I am a SAHM and I am continuously taking prereques. I am on the CC wait list. I am taking Rio classes for ASU and Grand Canyon depending on who asks me to dance first.Staying busy and keeping my mind alert. I don't want cobwebs in there after the wait.

Dang it! I always apply for tech positions in Radiography or Nuclear Medicine....they never hire me. No patient care experience! Hoping to find a job at a hospital after my surgery .

Hey I tried to respond to your PM but I get the message saying you have exceeded storage.

I just called but he would not confirm my place in the Aug class but he said I just missed the March class. We will see. I actually am leaning toward just applying to the Banner program or through one of the hospitals. I am so happy for you though. I know everything will work out.

Re: What do you do right now?

I work at a grocery store in the cheese department. It has nothing to do with nursing, but the job is mindless and can be sort of fun. I have two and a half months until I start! Yaaaay!

Re: What do you do right now?

I work as an auditor for credentialing department. So, it's a healthcare field but has nothing to do with nursing )) I work 4/10, so I am off every Wednesday. I started taking pre-reqs last summer and so far it's going great. Currently, I am taking ENG101 and BIO202 and I am so glad I am done with math. I am still unsure which way to go, skill centers/LPN fast track/nursing at comm.college...But, hey, I am doing something and this leads to somewhere.
Why nursing? I wanted to go to the college advisor and ask what pays the most for the 2 year AD program...figured that on my own ))) I am 32 years old, have two kids, husband, house etc. and I do not want to waste any of my time studying something that is not going to pay well. There are other, important things too like flex schedule, being in demand, and if I choose one day to move out of the USA and maybe go to Australia (or else) being an RN increase my chances to get a visa and I will never have to worry about the job. Also, I am bored to death at the office and would really like to bring my brain sometimes when I go to work ))

Re: What do you do right now?

Customer service Rep 8-5 M-F doing pre-req's right now. I take 3 classes a "semester" I want to get all my co-req's done as well before I actually start the "core" NS classes

Used to be a CNA, when I was in Highschool I was in a Health magent program on track to get a healthcare degree. But life happened. So after hating being a CNA after 5 years, i switched over to office work. Now I feel like I have have no real purpose just shuffling these piles of paper from one spot on my desk to another. Since there is NO growth potential and NO money in the business, I figured at 32 I should do what I want finally and something that will provide an income to boot
