Transfer of Edukan A&P

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone going to the Maricopa community colleges has transfered Edukan A&P credits to fufill the nursing prereqs? I have taken A&P online throught Edukann and am worried whether or not it will tranfer to some colleges since the lab was done online and some schools don't like that! I am looking at the Maricopa community college's nursing program. Has anyone on here used Edukann? Thanks.

Dave

Re: Transfer of Edukan A&P

I would recommend you talk to an advisor or the admission person at the college you plan to attend. Take your transcripts with you and let them decide whether it is transferrable or not.

They're gonna be really busy right now so be prepared when you go...take a book and get a coffee.....

Re: Transfer of Edukan A&P

They won't have an issue with the online labs. One school in the MCC system (Rio Salado) offers their science courses with online and/or at-home labs. That's not to say your course will transfer for sure; still have to check with them.

What I did was get my transcripts from high school and colleges (you only need unofficial ones for right now). Then faxed them in for review. I was told for Rio that it would take 2-3 weeks for them to go over your courses and see if they're transferrable.

Since I couldn't wait that long (I needed to know if certain courses fulfilled their prereq to get register for my first courses), I ended up seeing an advisor in person. She had some extra time that day so looked up all my applicable college courses to see what transferred. They have this handy dandy system which they go into. It lists the different universities all over the country, and the course descriptions for each by year. It's all very thorough.
