Shadowing/Volunteering in Tucson

I am considering a career change from computers to health care (nursing) and was wondering if any of you had any suggestions regarding which Tucson facilities offer shadowing/volunteer opportunities. I realize that there are several options, but I would really like this to be a positive experience.
Thanks for your recommendations!

Try either TMC or UMC.

computers to health care

Hi - quick note to say last August (of '04) I took the jump from a long-time programming position to enter the RN program; the concept of not staring at a PC in a cubicle all day was enticing!

Good luck!

I heard that! And don't forget about the benefits of not having to interact with those less-than exciting s/w type people anymore! :hatparty: Coincidently, I'm in the process of a similar s/w development transition.

Which RN program did you decide on?

Undecided (I'm still wrapping up prereq's), but I'm slated for a CNA class beginning mid-February. That way, if I'm on a waiting list for a cc program, I can work while waiting. Seriously, I'm up for anything after 20 years of cubicle dwelling mind numbing and programming! I wonder if I'll still be able to feel that way in a few months & years!
