I am currently in texas and finish my degree in may but in june our family will be moving (d/t military) to alaska. i am wondering where i need to take my NCLEX, i really would like to know i have some interviews lined up for when i get to anchorage, but i am not sure the process i need to go through. i looked at the BNE site for alaska but there are no definite answers.

if anyone knows anything this would be greatly appreciated!

First go to the state nursing board website:

http://www.dced.state.ak.us/occ/pnur5.htm

This has an option to receive the candidate bulletin. This has an application and information inside as well as the state stats and regs for nursing. You have to get fingerprints done with their fingerprint cards (which you can request by mail) and have a passport photo taken, recent one. Then the cost of this all comes to $324. You can then go online to the pearson vue testing website, and pay online to take the NCLEX. Once you get your Authorization to test, via email is the fastest, you go back to pearson vue and then you choose a date.

The testing center is in Anchorage off of Denali, in the Denali Towers.

Does this help you?:
