I got accepted into CACC RN program starting in the fall and wanted to know what anyone recommended I buy for starting nursing school. Schools supplies and nursing supplies....whatever you recommend.....anything will help.

There's a really extensive thread on this if you look in the student forum. It's up at the top under "threads of continuing interest" I think. It's called "Things you will need for nursing school" or something like that. Hope this helps... Oh and congrats on getting into nursing school!

You won't use it as much during your first semester(so you might hold off until 2nd semester) but each semester afterward, it will come in handy. There is a care plan book on the required books list, but more than one resource for your concept maps is a good idea.

- go ahead and buy a couple of reams of printer paper and some extra ink cartridges unless you live close to a kinko's because you'll be printing alot of stuff.
- get a stethoscope that YOU hear well with. Some people have great results with the sprague style, while others find Littmans to work better for them. I use a Littman Lightweight II SE...it's not a high end scope but I hear well with it.
