Wink Need help with scholarship information and pay rates

Anyone out there know about how the scholarship/loan program works at East Alabama Medical Center? I am mostly concerned about what the repayment time according to the amount they pay is (they will be paying for two semsters for me), nurse/patient ratios, and what their starting rates are for new graduate nurses. Any information that anyone has out there will be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi, I am one of your classmates at AUM that has a scholarship at EAMC. We really are seniors now! You will have to work the number of months that they "finance" your schooling, which looks to be 9 months. Does that help?

Question

I've just completed my first classes towards nursing and am very interested in the scholorship programs. I'm in Northwest Alabama and the cost of school is rather expensive with kids and only my husbands income. (which is to much to get any type of pell grant). Where can I find more information on scholorships for nursing. Pretty much anywhere in the state or in Georgia would be acceptable.

I just researched information over the computer about scholarships. There is a website that is called fastweb.com and it has links to several different scholarship opportunities. Also, the Alabama State Board of Nursing offers scholarships through their website along with a lot of valuable information as you begin Nursing School. The hospitals in the state that I know offer NUrsing Scholarship/Loans are as follows: St. Vincent's (Birmingham), Baptist Health Systems (Statewide), and East Alabama Medical Center (Auburn/Opelika). These scholarships operate by payinf for your full tuition, fees, and books while requiring you to obligate to work for this hospital for a specified number of years after graduation. I hope my information has been useful to you!!! Good Luck
