LOL.....okay, old Lady #2 here. Just not in your class. Wandered upon the boards a few days ago, I'm the lurking type. I agree with the above post, stay in Alabama, we need some good nurses! It's not "quite" as bad as many on here post, keep your head up, and remember that life comes at you fast, you WILL get hit in the face a few times, but what an absolutely rewarding job we have, inside and out. Best of luck to all. Where's everyone's clinicals?? I work at BMC Shelby.

Ah, another Old Lady here, difference being you have already made it to the finish line and have that glorious piece of paper saying your are licensed!!! I'm just starting out in this game!! LOL! My clinicals are at Coosa Valley in Sylacauga. I'm not sure if they send any of our students to Shelby or not. I do know that a girl in my class works at Shelby though. We do go to Childrens, Russell, Aniston RMC and a few other places but they are trying to ease us into it this semester by letting us have them all in the same hospital since we only have 45 hours to do. On a good note, we had our first Dosage and Calculations test on Friday, and I made 100 on it!! WooHoo for me! One less thing to worry about!

Actually, it was. You would think that a test that is so important wouldn't be a multiple choice test!! I was a little confused!! LOL! Are you in class with me at CACC?

Have you been studying for the Health Assessment test? I have been trying and don't really know what to study!! I tried just studying what Ms. C. said we needed to know but that seems like a lot is getting left out. They say if you fail the first semester it is usually due to Health Assessment and I don't know about you but I don't want to become a statistic!!!

I've studied some. I just stick to what she went over in class. It worked for me on the last test.

Hi,
I am from Tallassee, AL. Have you ever heard of this place? I have been a nurse since 1995. I was a LPN for 10 years and then graduated from Troy University with my ASN in Dec. 2005. RN school was hard but I learned alot. Keep up the good work, all you nursing students and you will reap the rewards. I have worked all over our little hospital. (ICU, ER, OR, GI Lab, Social Services, Gero-Psych,...). I love being a nurse.
I am married with 2 children of my own and 2 step children. We have 3 boys and 1 girl, (30, 25, 24, & 17) and 1 grandson (6).
