Re: I haven't forgotten you guys

All good things will come to you this time around. Remember that the CPNE does not measure your intellect, your compassion, or even your nursing abilities. It only measures your ability to take this one exam.
Breathe, relax and go do what you are meant to do.

Good luck Sue!

Re: I haven't forgotten you guys

Thanks so much, everyone.

Lunah, I was SO glad you passed! This is such a stinky way to feel, because it isn't really jealousy, I guess it's more a feeling of failure (which I did) and inadequacy, and when others pass it reinforces that they could and I couldn't, y'know?

Goodness knows you deserved it, and I am really happy for everyone who passes - but it's mixed in with feeling like a big ol' idiot.

Girl, you are so not an idiot. Banish that stinkin' thinkin'- it'll only drag you down.

My sentiments exactly!! It's really amazing how much of our self-esteem can get tangled up in this one exam; no one who hasn't been there will ever, ever understand the pressures of the CPNE.

Sue, as you noted, there was nothing in your patient care during that first CPNE. It was just those little details that you'll nail this time!

Re: I haven't forgotten you guys

You'll have to use the "More Cowbell" method that Lunah used

You know what? I think the prescription is always more cowbell! Whenever I'm stressed I just think, "More cowbell!" and it makes me laugh, every time. Probably because I'm simple, but whatever.

Okay, my new mantra.

More cowbell.

More cowbell.

More cowbell.
