Does online interfere with your job and life at home?

I will begin my RN-BSN program in January next year. I am nervous about because I am so comfortable with my daily routine now I don't want school to change my life completely. I have an associates degree in nursing and that was the hardest sacrifice I had to take. So much of my time was in school I nearly lost my family. Now its a year now, and I work 3 12 hour shifts and on my days off I enjoy being with my family. But I am ready to get my BSN so I can continue and get my MSN, but is it going to be a lot of time on the computer? If so, how much per day?

It doesn't interfere as much as a brick and mortar school does.

I spent very little time actually ON the computer but lots of time reading.

When I've taken online classes, I try to stay off the computer as much as possible. I know me--I surf. (I work at home on the computer too--it's not easy staying focused!) At home you can pick up your books to study when needed, which is really handy, but it is easy to let that slide when it is that convenient. I don't know if you have online meeting times or not, but staying offline as much as possible is the one way I ever felt like I was accomplishing anything and felt like I wasn't neglecting my family.

I'm sorry your nursing program was so hard on your family.
