calling ex NHS nurses

hi all,
ive been an RN here in the US for 6 years now, 5 in LA and then 1 in Austin Texas, which is where i am now (i love Austin, great city)
anyway did any of you ex NHS nurses change over or cash in your NHS Superannuation ? i have about 10 years worth of pension and would like to access it (preferably)or move it to here, any advice ?

Hi Glennurse, welcome to Allnurses. I was of the understanding that you were not able to cash in superan although I do believe that if you want to transfer to another pension that could be done.

You would really need to speak to a financial advisor I suppose about that

Think it is very hard to transfer to the US and mainly left frozen until I believe aged 65 . You maybe able to contact them to ask. http://www.dhsspsni.gov.uk/index/hrd/superann.htm
