Question British trained Paediatric Nurses in Victoria, Australia.

Dear All,
I hope this finds everyone well.
I was wondering if anyone can help.I am trying to find out if i can apply for a visa to work/live in Victoria Australia.
I have been in contact with the nursing board of Victoria and they will register me on their role as a Paediatric Nurse.
However when i contacted the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council they told me that Paediatric Nursing dose not have a ASCO code (the code you need to get a skills assessment and then hopefully a visa) Without this i cannot apply for a skills assessement or a visa.
I just wondering if anyone else has been through this process.I am a direct entry Paediatric Nurse (project 2000) so i do not have the General Nurse Qualifcation.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
ewol

i trained as a paeds nurse in uk, and i am currently working in NSW on a temporary visa, the hospital are in the process of sponsoring me for my permanent residency visa. I can only nurse children and this is set out by the NSW nurses board, as a condition of my visa. Hope this helps.
