Re: Welcome to the Forum - General Aussie Chat

Hi Gwenith,

Hi, just want to find out how to get a job in your country. I just finished my Practical Nursing Course. Right now am preparing for my NCLEX-PN review. I am having a hardtime looking for an agency here in the Philippines that hires LPNs abroad. The course is new to them and most of the agency's here are only entertaining RNs for abroad. Is there a way you can recommend an agency wherein i can apply? in your country what licensure exams are needed? is NCLEX a requirement in your country? Please let me know. I am lost right now and dont how will i be able to use the course i've taken to have a new career. tnx

Re: Welcome to the Forum - General Aussie Chat

Hey peoples,
sorry I haven't been around much lately. It's been a very busy few weeks trying to organise moving. I got into Flinders Housing to live for this year. Which is really great 'cause it gives me a year to really find my way around Adelaide and please God get my own place in 07.
Today I just finished Enrolling and I've already brought my oneway ticket, so everything is moving very fast now.

Hope everyone is well and I'm going to try and keep in touch more.

Heidi

G'day Heidi!
Great you've arranged accommodation. Good luck with the move and your studies. Keep in touch and if you need help, support, or want to meet for a cuppa, just PM me, ok? It always helps thr settling in process if you've got someone you can contact. And if you don't, that's fine too. :-)
Cheers.....

Thanks Grace, I'd love to meet up sometime, I've got a few things on in the first week I get there but after that I'll message you and arrange something.

Quick Question at what times do the Nursing shifts in Hospitals and Nursing homes usually begin and end in Adelaide.
Only 6 more sleeps.

Hi All

I am a student EN from Canberra in my second year of a 2 year PT course. I am looking to go right on to my RN/Midwifery at either Uni of Canberra or CSU via distance ed next year. I stumbled across allnurses by accident when looking for some critical thinking exercises, how lucky was that!! I am hoping to get work as an EN in a sexual health/family planning kind of location as soon as I finish this year but will honestly be ecstatic to have partially reached my lifetime goal of being a nurse no matter where I am!! Look fwd to chatting to you all and sharing experiences.

Take care

Mez
