Fingers crossed for you that the real estate deal all falls into place, we Tassie girls can't stay away from the beach for ever can we...doesn't matter how hard we try when retirement looms just have to have the water view, the sight of the sea eagles, and the smell of the salt laden sea air. and if the mountains loom in the middle distance so much the better.
I grew up in Launceston, so the beautiful Tamar Valley , the north coast and the western tiers influence my expectations of real estate. I must confess King George Sound just outside the front gate is perfect..

LOL Hi Wendy

I thought you would get a giggle once you saw where I lived. Yup when we get back down under we must make a date for a cuppa. I would love that a lot.

I miss the beach so much these days that is for sure. Ahhhh the dogs loved it too.

[quote=princeninaThe big drama here is, as you know, the tyranny of distance... the b***** Midland Highway, but the Royal was doing something for ENs a few years ago and there is certainly a lot of political pressure to offer at least something in Hobart.
Gosh I have become Hobartcentric.. and I'm a Lonnie girl too
How embarrassing.

Not that embarrassing, but 'understandable' cause Hobart is so lovely to love... {I'm a former Sandgroper saying this}

But should I manage all in, {as in pass EN and get into UTas, my family {yeah, son and ***** cats and maybe even darling beau} will relocate to Launceston for the UTas duration. I certainly don't want to be back and forthing every week trying to make contact hours etc.

Re: Welcome to the Forum - General Aussie Chat

Hello! I was invited to get back and chat - that is great! Been nursing for nearly 40 years and after beating some major surgery am back again - nursing. I am at The Park and work on Rehab and I must say I find it very rewarding.
Mental health has always been my greatest burn (- that is after my lovely lady and family).
The new Labour Government promises some great things for the caring profession and us nurses! It is going to be a very exciting year. Even with a drought!
Happy and exciting and prosperous new year readers.
Hugs, smiles and kisses from Mister Chris

I came across this discussion forum a few months ago and it seems to have lots of great information and resources. I look forward to learning more about Australian nursing and the process to apply/register in Australia as I complete my education here.

Re: Welcome to the Forum - General Aussie Chat

I posted about this before, but maybe not in the right place? Any sign of immigration policy changing, so that older nurses might be allowed to migrate to Australia from the US?
