Need Information - hospitals sponsoring nursing student on working visa

Hi all,

I am here from England on student visa. I just graduated from college. But i am interested in going back to nursing school. I am interested to know if there are hospitals out there sponsoring people like me to work here or even petition for me for green card in the future.

Any comment is appreciated....Thank you....

Re: hospitals sponsoring nursing student on working visa

There are no working visas available for nurses, and as a student, you would be under the F-1 visa.

If you are asking if there will be a way to remain here to work when you finish the nursing training, no one can answer that at the moment as we are still under the a retrogression. But please be aware that the two year programs here do not meet the requirements for licensure in the UK if you ever decide to return there in the future.

And with green cards as tight as they are right now, you may not be able to remain in the US after you would complete the OPT.

Why is this in the Australian section if the OP is talking about the UK and the US?
