Question? - Coalition Nursing Programmes

Has anyone heard about what has happened to the student nurses who have commenced the 'apprenticeship' style of nursing where students are employed by the hospitals under the Coalition Government? Did it actually start? Are these students still going to have qualifications recognised at the end? Or will they be left high and dry?

Re: Coalition Nursing Programmes

I haven´t heard anything more about it, but assumed that when the coalition was voted out the idea was scrapped.

The one thing I do know for certain is that the program wasn´t going to start until the middle of this year (I mostly remember that because I thought at the time ¨they would announce something like that just as I apply for uni!¨ - the idea of an apprenticeship was somewhat appealing from a financial perspective)
