I was told when I wanted to be a nurse that a lot of places will assist in paying off loans, is this still true? I'm going to graduate with nearly 100K in debt and this would help!

I doubt anyone will pay that amount, but at our facility we offer to pay the tuition only for the last year and set the reimbursement based on the state university tuition scale. You will need to contact HR in various facilities to see what the market is in your area. Good luck!

A private school (I'm still going). I also take out money for living expenses because I just got too stressed out working too. I know I wont get it all paid back, I just want some sort of assistance, maybe someone to atleast pay some of the govt loans or something, I guess I'll just wait and see!

The hospital i used to work at has a loan forgiveness program, they would pay up to 500 a month toward your loan, all you have to do is work nights and be a new grad( less than 6 mnths out of school) not a bad deal..

in the state of rhode island there is a loan forgivness program. you must work in the state giving direct patient care for min. 20 hours a week to qualify. 0% for the first 4 years of the loan and $1000 a year for four years loan forgivness
